The Nordic DAIR awards (Data, Analytics, and AI Readiness awards) gala was held on the 5th of December in Vasateatern in Stockholm. This was my second time participating in this wonderful gala of data and AI nerds and wizards gathering together to celebrate the successes of the year. The organisation behind the gala Hyperight and especially Saranda Arifi and Goran Cvetanovski are doing an amazing job with getting people to share their learnings and contribute to future developments together.
The gala celebrates individual people working with data, analytics and AI nominated in ten different categories. I wrote before about my nominations this year in the Analytics Professional of the Year category. It was super nice that I came second in this category, and I highly value all the votes people gave me in public voting and jury voting. Thank you to all members of the community and the dear friends and business contacts! The winner in this category was brilliant Linda Rothan-Cederberg from Electrolux Sweden, congratulations!
The gala also celebrates organisations in seven categories varying from the Best Data Strategy to the Best Use of Generative AI. Elisa was a nominee in four categories with different projects and programs, and we were very happy to be the winners of the Best Organisation Data Literacy Program of the Year! Nina Marila, Chief Data Officer at Elisa, invited me to the stage with her to receive the award. It was great to be able to share this moment with her and with the DAIR community. Nina has been working very hard with Elisa’s data community to help people utilise data efficiently with training and data quality activities, and by supporting different business areas to enhance data-driven thinking. I’ve been participating by giving presentations in the program about data quality and how to drive change. And of course by building the software with my teams for better data at Elisa. Many people are active daily in the area of data and AI at Elisa so this award belongs to all of us. Thank you Hyperight and the DAIR community for this wonderful acknowledgement!
